Fishing and Diving in Bali with Pigmy Bali Diving

Early morning pick up and drive to Sanur where the boat anchored. on the way to the dive spot we have trawling and catch Giant Travelly ( 22 kg !!). woow what a nice day!. finally we arrive in dive spot and have one dive with beautiful coral and Mola - Mola !. after dive we have 1 hour bottom fishing and catch coral fishes.

Time for lunch, we go to the Lembongan island beach to have BBQ lunch at one of restaurant there.
Great lunch !!!!.

After lunch we cruising back to Bali with some trawling ( unfortunately no fish take our bait) and The boat captain decided to take some bottom fishing, we catch many coral fishes.

It is really big day out with very nice experience.

Diving Nusa Penida with Pigmy Bali Diving

Mola - Mola / ocean sunfish season is still on. Nusa Penida island is always has special things to find out as it has more than 6 dive sites in which area has different characteristic and creatures. Crystal bay has best possibility to see this unique creature and we took some images of them.

PADI offers wide range of Dive course, it start from the Open water course ( world wide dive certificate) with 4 days scheduled time, but can be done within 3 days. On the first day is theory combine with pool training session done in Kuta area. Second day scheduled for 2 open water dives in Tulamben where unique Liberty wreck located. on the last day, we are going to Nusa Penida island for another 2 open water dives.

Dive in Menjangan

dive in menjangan island is allways nice as it was. Clear visibility up to 20- 25 meters with nice slope / wall covered nice soft and hard corals. total car driving more than 3 hours is worth to do. Located in west Bali national park with its beauty and nature including famous animal (Menjangan).

The combination overnight in Waka Shorea make it more interesting holidays as you can as well discover on land and underwater environment away from crowd. nice way escape from mass tourists in kuta or nusa dua area.

Fishing in Bali

Tuesday, 20 May 2008.

Start early morning at 07.00. while fishing equipment, towel, food, fruits, softdrinks and beers loaded to the boat, our fishing guide made briefing on fishing destination, fishes expected to catch, fishing sessions, crews, fishing equipment and environment.

On the way the crew offer us coffee and tea ( very nice ! ), Around 1 hour we did trolling and caught 2 tunas ( each 2 kg ) and we caught 5 small reef fishes 9 grouper ) on our coral fishing. The guide said " Ok, if anybody would like to have snorkeling we can go now before lunch break" , We snorkel at not that bad coral reef for 20 minutes. Lunch break with Indonesian menu also seasonal fruits as dessert.

On the way back we did another trolling and caught 1 Mahi - mahi around 10 kg or so. so nice....

Diving in Tulamben Wreck

Tulamben is small village located at north-eastern coast of Bali. We started the journey from south area ( Nusa dua ) at 07.30 and arrived in Tulamben at around 09.45. briefing from the divemaster about location, environment and dive sites.

First dive, we saw nice coral and coralful fishes also Giant Barracuda. we made a lot of shots with quite close to her. It was very nice feeling about it, which off course our divemaster kept the safety and brief to stay little further away from her.

Second dive still at the wreck, try to discover inside the wreck. the wreck very unique compare others wreck.

Menjangan island is very nice place for diving therefore Pigmy Bali Diving created the product combine with natural resort ( Waka shorea ) located at secluded beach and remote area.

The off shore covered with nice hard and soft coral, suitable for snorkeling and even diving.
The dive package included Full board, dives, bird watching ( Jalak Bali ), all sea and land transport, dive guide, 1 night in Bungalow with breakfast.

There are deers, monkey, many different kind of birds and jungle "pig" pass the resort also many other animals as the resort is part of the West Bali national park conservation. Happy 1st Anniversary To Pigmy Bali Diving

Congratulations to Pigmy Bali Diving for its 1st anniversary on 1st of May 2008. The celebration happened in Lembongan island with Waka cruise and Waka beach club.

Great cruise, food & drinks , games. everybody was very happy and enjoyed the celebration after hard work and daily routine.

The director said " Thanks a lot to everybody who put everything, effort and support to make the celebration sucessful and eventful especially The Waka group also everybody in the teams who had work hard since the set up of the dive center".

Mimic Octopus in Nusa Ceningan, Bali ?

One of our dive guide ( Mr. Okta Kamanjaya) has a lucky day while snorkeling nearby our speed boat " Valeria" while parked in Nusa Ceningan island ( Bali) on 27 of March 2008, he saw and take a few shots of mimic octopus while she hide in a pail at around 4 meters depth with our Sea and Sea 1G digital camera.
